Advantages of Membership for Fair Organisers

The principal advantages of joining the Charity Fairs Association for a Fair Organiser are:

  • Each January we publish a List of Fairs organised by CFA members. This is available exclusively to members and must not be circulated elsewhere. It enables Fair Organisers to avoid date clashes with another Fair in their area or with one of the very large Fairs. (Members are expected to let the Administrator know as soon as their dates are confirmed. It is, of course, your choice as to whether details of your Fair and your name and address are published.
  • This List is also circulated to Stallholder members and thus enables them to apply to you for space. The List also enables you to see which other Fairs are within driving distance, so that you can visit them to source stallholders for the future.
  • Again each year we publish the 'Directory of Stallholders', which gives details of all stallholder members, their goods and price range. This Directory is sent out to FO's in December. An update follows the AGM in January and throughout the year. It is also in the Member's Only area of the website and updated regularily.
  • By selecting CFA member stallholders, you will be assured they have Commercial Public and Product & Employer's Liability Insurance, as it is a condition of membership.
  • You will receive a 'Guide for Fair Organisers & Stallholders', which is full of tips and suggestions for running a successful Fair.
  • All Members are sent a bi-annual Newsletter, with articles and news of interest, and space for advertising.
  • An AGM is held every January, currently in Oxfordshire. This is an opportunity for members to put forward views to the whole membership and to network with other FO's and SH's.
  • A Fair Organiser's lunch is held, in London, every two years, again a good networking opportunity.
  • The Committee meets regularly during the year and can be approached for advice regarding the running of Fairs, or should a problem arise with either a Stallholder or Fair Organiser.
